Next Generation Leadership Institute – In Our Own Voice

1. What is the Next Generation Leadership Institute Fellowship?
The Next Generation Leadership Institute Fellowship is a two-year, paid fellowship program designed to train Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) students to become leaders in Reproductive Justice. The program focuses on core competencies such as Reproductive Justice, Leadership, Advocacy, and Movement Building.

2. Who is eligible to apply?
Eligible candidates are students currently enrolled in bachelor’s programs at HBCUs and passionate about driving positive change in Reproductive Justice. Qualified candidates must have at least two years remaining in their degree program. Unfortunately, this excludes high school students, third or fourth-year students, recent graduates, graduate students, and other students who do not attend HBCUs.

3. Why should I apply for the Next Generation Leadership Institute Fellowship?
By joining the fellowship, you’ll become part of a community of leaders actively shaping the future of Reproductive Justice. The program has already produced fearless student leaders from nine HBCUs nationwide, and we’re now searching for the next group of passionate, resourceful trailblazers to carry the torch forward.

4. This sounds amazing! How can I help spread the word about the fellowship?
You can help by:

  •  Posting the flyer and application link on social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook using hashtags like #NGLeadershipInstitute and #ReproductiveJustice.
  • Informing HBCU students and community leaders about the open application.
  • Sharing program details with higher education professionals who can guide potential HBCU applicants to this opportunity.
