Soleil Hall is a Fayetteville Observer Future Black History Maker

Soleil Hall, 15, the daughter of Lisa Hall and Bryce Hall, is a sophomore at Gray’s Creek High School in Hope Mills.

She was nominated as a Fayetteville Observer Future Black History Maker because “Soleil is an exceptional young leader whose passion for agriculture, academics, and community service makes her a true Future Black History Maker,” writes her mom, who is an agriculture teacher at Gray’s Creek High. “As an active member of her high school’s FFA program, Soleil has demonstrated extraordinary dedication and achievement. For the past three years, she has earned first place at the state level in Agriscience Research, conducting innovative projects that explore the effects of different fertilizer types on plant growth and development, as well as the creation of biodegradable plastics from compostable household materials.

“Soleil’s work reflects her deep commitment to environmental sustainability and agricultural advancement. Beyond her research, she is a pillar in her community, sharing her knowledge of agriculture through outreach and mentoring others to explore the field. Her academic excellence, which is matched by maintaining an A average, is complemented by her well-rounded involvement in tennis, basketball, and track and field, where she demonstrates teamwork, determination, and leadership.
